Directions and Parking Details
The Dive site accessed by a narrow lane off the Dawlish to Teignmouth Road
The road is steep, narrow and is quite twisty. It has few passing places and only has room to park about half a dozen cars. It is unlikely that you will be able to park here during the holiday season.
Head out of Dawlish towards Teignmouth (Teignmouth Road). Follow the road for about ½ mile and you will pass the Smugglers Inn on your left hand side. Continue along the road past the speed camera and Windward Lane (again on your left hand side). Take the tight left hand turn for the “coast path” just after Holcombe drive and the bus stop (Smugglers Lane). Follow this steep, winding, narrow lane down as far as it goes. Park as close as possible to the turning area at the bottom of the road.
You must now Kit up and make the walk down under the railway bridge and up the 21 steps on the other side. Follow the railway line 200m along the level path to the steps that go down to the beach. There are only 22 steps however they are quite steep (there is a handrail)
